Falcon First Chair And Ottoman

An icon of Norwegian design, the Falcon First Chair and Ottoman showcases innovation in stylish comfort with its industrial edge. Drawing inspiration from the classic hammock, its suspended seat and supportive steel frame create a suspension while seated, allowing for a slight movement that creates a comforting ease. Supple leather upholstered back cushions and seat also add a sophisticated touch.

Sigurd Resell (1920-2010) had a solid carpentry education with him before he studied at the Norwegian National Academy of Craft and Art Industry (1943–1947). He designed some of the post-war most shapely furniture and is known for his steel furniture. In 1970, the Industry Council invited to the furniture competition "A piece of furniture". Sigurd Resell received a second prize for the Blankvals armchair. The chair, which was later named Falcon, has become one of the most known Norwegian furniture icons
