Description
A design masterpiece conceived by Verner Panton in 1971, the Panthella Lamp exudes timeless elegance with its organic trumpet-like shade and seamless hemispherical acrylic design. Designed with the intention that both the stand and shade serve as a reflector, The lamp's unique silhouette not only serves as a diffuser for a soft, ambient glow but also stands as a sculptural statement.
The Panthella 160 Portable is a petite and portable version of the classic Verner Panton design, with a shade that is just 160 mm in diameter. Equipped with a built-in LED, the fixture emits a glare-free, soft and comfortable illumination. The opal acrylic shade leaves a diffused comfortable light atmosphere due to the translucent shade, the downward reflection from the inner shade and the reflection from the trumpet stem. Its dual functionality as both an illuminating source and a design element showcases the lamp's versatility, effortlessly blending into various interior styles.

Designer
Considered one of Denmark's most influential 20th century furniture and interior designers, Verner Panton (1926-1998) established a unique reputation for his exuberant originality and tireless experimentation with colour, shape and lighting. Panton’s designs challenged the interior trends of the time with colours, shapes and materials. He had a very clear attitude regarding his work and consciously made the decision to use different and daring materials. His use of different materials often led to his contemporaries disparaging the 'timelessness' of his design. The great interest in his design today proves quite the opposite.
